Jay Weiser’s nonprofit board and committee experience includes the CUNY Faculty Senate Executive Committee (where he was Legal Chair), the CUNY Board of Trustees Committee on Facilities Planning and Management, what is now the LGBT Bar Association of Greater New York (LeGaL) and the New York City Bar Association’s Committee on LGBT Rights. He is Associate Professor of Law Emeritus at Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business, and was Assistant General Counsel, Real Estate, at what is now Prudential Financial. A graduate of Columbia College, Stanford University and Columbia Law School. he grew up in East Flatbush in a family that lived and worked in Brooklyn.
