Young Adult Families (YAF)

Our Young Adult Families program is for heads of the household who are pregnant and between the ages of 18-24 seeking housing. We help improve an individuals’ quality of life with stable housing that can help to decrease high service utilization.

Eligibility information

Young Adult Families accepts clients who are pregnant or already have children and have high service utilization. Clients who are accepted into this program are only provided housing within Brooklyn and require a referral through HRA’s PACT System with a 2010e housing application form.

Young adults (18-26 years old)
Pregnant
Leaving or recently left foster care within the last 24 months
Unsheltered youth (90 days consecutive) over the last year
Limited employment history
History of trauma
